The task given to us for this was to imagine a new variation of the traditional kiosk, which is currently a dying business. We started the design process from modules the size of a average magazine (22x28cm). The shape, on the other hand, is recognizable as the extrution of the letter “Q” for “Quotidiana”. With these two elements being a constant, we created three variations of the same modular build. Based on the context of the location of each kiosk, the shops differ from one another, while keeping the central focus around magazines. Three key materials were used interchangeably to integrate the kiosk into different settings: Porcelin tiles, anodized aluminum, and coated plywood.
